Our Story

Our story started quite a few years ago — traveling and singing. We did a week-long revival in Carthage, Missouri. And we did a week-long revival in Kauai.

One Sunday our pastor introduced us as “Floyd and his nieces and nephews.” The whole congregation laughed — and the kids took it to heart. They’ve called me Uncle Floyd ever since. Those “kids” are in their sixties and seventies now, and their children picked it right up.

That’s what this place is. Everybody who comes here becomes family — a niece or a nephew.

This site was built with folks fifty and up in mind — but everybody’s welcome here, whether you’re twenty-five or ninety-five. If you need a place where you’re loved and respected, pull up a chair and tell me your story. You’re family now.

Alongside me is Aunt Mary — my partner, my best friend, and the sassiest sidekick a fellow ever had. She keeps me on my toes. Most days.

Welcome home.
